Nagham was born from family, passion, and a love for Arabic music that travels across borders. Simon Achkar, a Lebanese oud player and singer, brought that love with him when he moved from Lebanon to Halifax, Nova Scotia - and it wasn't long before his sisters joined him, and the music followed.

Together, Simon and his sisters perform as Nagham - a name that means melody in Arabic - blending the soulful sound of the oud, the pulse of percussion, and the warmth of Lebanese musical tradition into something that feels both timeless and alive.

Nagham is more than a performance. It's an atmosphere. Whether at a wedding, a cultural festival, or a private gathering, the music creates moments that linger - emotional, cinematic, and deeply rooted in the culture that shaped it.

Based in Halifax and available across Atlantic Canada, Nagham brings authentic Arabic live music to every stage, big or small.
